How to clean parts in ReStory
Place and open the phone
Put the Pokia on the workbench and disassemble it in the order shown on screen.
Read the checklist
Find the individual components still marked as dirty.
Select a dirty part
Choose one removed component rather than trying to clean the assembled phone.
Move it to the cleaning area
Drag the dirty component into the separate cleaning interaction on the workbench.
Remove the visible dirt
Clean the marked surface until the visible grime disappears.
Check inside and around the edges
Some first-phone panels also count dirt on their inner face or side surfaces.
Confirm the dirty status is gone
Use both the visible surface and the checklist; cleaning sound alone is not enough.
Reassemble in the displayed order
Once no dirty items remain, return to the workbench and follow the reassembly list.
First phone
Clean the first Pokia phone
Current-release footage supports four key dirty components in the first-phone workflow.
Version note A Demo also names the Battery, but current-release evidence is not strong enough to present it as a guaranteed first-phone dirty part.
Completion check
How to know a part is clean
Visible dirt is gone
Inspect the surface rather than relying on sound.
The dirty status disappears
The checklist is the strongest confirmation that the component is finished.
No dirty items remain
Only then continue into the displayed reassembly sequence.
Important: cleaning sound alone does not prove that a part is clean.
Hidden surfaces
Do you need to rotate parts?
Check the inside and edges of the first phone’s outer panels when the dirty status remains. This is verified for those panels—not as a rule that every ReStory part must be rotated.

Cleaning Cup or Sonic Bath?
The workbench has a separate cleaning interaction, but its current official English UI name has not been verified.
If nothing changes
Cleaning not working?
- Confirm that the component has been removed from the phone.
- Move the dirty component into the workbench cleaning interaction.
- Inspect the inside and edges if visible dirt or the dirty status remains.
- Judge completion by visible dirt and the checklist—not by sound alone.
Multiple players reported sound without dirt removal during an older Playtest. No source confirms that the same issue remains in the current release, identifies its cause, or provides a universal fix.

Cleaning FAQ
How do you clean parts in ReStory?+
Disassemble the device, identify components marked dirty in the checklist, and move each removed dirty part to the workbench cleaning area. Remove the visible grime, check other surfaces where applicable, and confirm the dirty status disappears before reassembly.
How do you know when a ReStory part is clean?+
The visible dirt should be gone and the checklist should no longer mark the component as dirty. Sound by itself is not reliable proof.
Do you need to rotate every part while cleaning?+
No universal rule is confirmed. During the first Pokia repair, some outer panels require checking the inside or edges, but this does not prove every part must be rotated.
Is the cleaning area called the Cleaning Cup or Sonic Bath?+
The current official UI name has not been verified. Cup is an older player term, cleaning corner is video narration, and Sonic Bath is not supported by reliable source evidence.
